Brand:

Winter Tea Mash Grassland is a seasonal edition of mash inspired by winter tea. Developed for the colder months of the year, it is excellent support for horses in autumn and winter, when the immune and digestive systems especially need extra reinforcement. This quick and easy-to-prepare product will be a tasty extra meal for your horse!

The Winter Tea Mash formula naturally supports the horse’s immunity and digestion, supplying many highly digestible nutrients. The recipe is rich in fibre thanks to fruit pomace, rice bran and wheat bran. Blackcurrant and chokeberry pomace and dried raspberry are also a source of vitamins E and C, natural antioxidants that help prevent toxic compounds from forming in the body. The omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids in linseed are very important for horses without access to pasture and during winter.

The product is particularly recommended for horses with digestive disorders and for those that colic and tend towards constipation. The mucilage from linseed has a protective effect on the digestive tract, which minimises the risk of gastric ulcers. Aromatic additions such as chamomile, anise, cinnamon and raspberry leaf have an antispasmodic effect, aid digestion and give the mash a distinctive scent reminiscent of a warming winter tea. ☕❄️

The mash contains no sugar molasses, only the natural sugars from fruit. Pectins from fruit pomace and dried raspberry do more than make the mash exceptionally palatable: they benefit the microflora of the digestive tract, because at a low pH they form a gel that protects the stomach lining. What is more, the low starch and sugar content, together with the absence of cereals, lucerne and molasses, reduces the risk of excitability and of an allergic reaction to the mash.
