Easily digested complementary feed Flower Mash Grassland as a herbal mash with added flower petals, for all types of horses and ponies, is an ideal complementary meal all year round. Quick and easy to prepare, once soaked it can be a daily addition to oats for horses in recovery, thin horses, or those reluctant to eat during stressful situations and competitions. The mash can be fed lukewarm or cold, and its consistency adjusted to the horse’s preference.

The Flower Mash formula naturally supports the horse’s immunity and digestion, supplying many highly digestible nutrients. The composition is rich in fibre, thanks to fruit pomace, rice bran, alfalfa pellets and sunflower husk. The omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids in linseed are very important for horses without access to pasture, and during the winter.

Particularly recommended for horses with digestive disorders, and for those with colic and a tendency to constipation. The mucilage from linseed has a protective effect on the digestive tract, which minimises the risk of gastric ulcers in the horse. Nettle herb aids digestion, regulates metabolism and supports the liver and gut movement. Peppermint, meanwhile, eases excess acidity, and the essential oils it contains have anti-inflammatory and anti-ulcer properties. The addition of lemon balm and chamomile has an antispasmodic effect and helps prevent bloating. Marigold, used for conditions of the mucous membranes, stimulates tissue repair. The combination of all these herbs is an excellent choice when feeding sport horses exposed to intense work and stress.

The mash contains no oats and no sugar molasses, only the natural sugars from fruit. Pectins from apple pomace do more than make the mash exceptionally tasty: they also benefit the microflora in the digestive tract, because at a low pH they form a gel that protects the stomach lining.
